With our first painting exhibit we switched gears to some extent. Painting, of course, requires a different approach from the viewer - which is the wonder itself of painting.

With this exhibit, Frank Tornow examines the traditions and iconography that we are born into. By re-combining and re-contextualizing otherwise familiar symbols, Tornow questions their original and on-going meanings. Through the painter's eye we are forced to question the impact our heritage continues to have on us - both collectively and as individuals.
